21ST ANNIVERSARY OF THE EVANSTON GARDEN WALK!

2009 Garden Walk
Join us Sunday, July 11th, 12 noon - 5:00 p.m., for our 21st annual visit to seven very special private gardens in Evanston, plus one extraordinary public garden.

The private gardens include:

  • an historic waterfront home, Lake Michigan providing the ultimate water feature
  • an English Lady's cottage garden
  • gardens with whimsical art, creative espaliered trees, spectacular landscape, lush container gardens
  • and much, much more.

Many of the gardens are lovingly cared for by the homeowners themselves, though professionals may help with planning and design. Wear your walking shoes, but remember that gardens are all over Evanston, so transport is required. (Bikes are good!) Attendees will receive a map of garden locations and a booklet describing the gardens.

SAVE by buying your tickets in advance!

Tickets purchased before the day of the Walk are $10 for members, $15 for non-members. The day of the Walk, member tickets are $20, non-member $25. In addition to our new online ticket purchase option, tickets are available in person from the Evanston Ecology Center, 2024 McCormick Blvd., Monday-Friday, June 15-July 10, 9 a.m.-11:30 am.; and Sunday July 11, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
